Here I am Again

Well, I figured I would pop in and post again, since that is what you are supposed to do on these things. Kinda kills the whole effect of having one if you dont update it.

House thing is still slowly moving along. Waiting on final numbers to see what it will cost. More on that when I have it.

My wife's new store final grand opened today. It is a nice store and should do well in the area. There are some "issues" to deal with, but my wife has a very loyal and supportive staff that she basically hand picked, so she will be ok.

Adjusting to being a Part-Timer after being in Retail Management for 7 years is, to say the least, interesting. It is weird not having any power whatsoever after having free reign for so long. There are times when I feel completely useless and unappreciated. Then there are other days when I actually enjoy not having the responsibility or pressure of control. Then again, it is the X-mas season, so I probably wont have time to consider anything for about a month.

I was sitting here thinkning the other day about a series of books I worked on with Mystic Eye Games. They were called Foul Locales and they were a great series. I got to work with some excellent RPG writers and count my time working with them as my most proud moments "in the biz." Thats why I was thinking how it would be great to acquire the line from the now seemingly defunct MEG and continue the series as PDFs. Release a new FL every other week maybe as a PDF complete with maps, NPCs, etc. I bet they would sell. Might have to look into that to see if it is actually possible. Hmmm.....

Well, my son made honor roll and he couldnt be happier. My step-daughter turned 12 today, and she could also not be happier. Sometimes you just sit back and look at your kids and envy them so much. They have so mush time in front of them and so much stuff to experience. Then again, you will be there all along the way to help them, so that is something.

God I hate Dick Cheney.

And Donald Rumsfeld.

Does anyone even read newspaper anymore? I heard that question on the radio the other day and my answer was yes. Well, I know I do. Then again I am a news junkie and check MSNBC, CNN, Salon, WBOC, and many other websites when I am online and read 2-4 newspapers a day.

Well, I guess that is all for now. I will attempt to post more often, even if I dont have anything to say. Gotta update the ol blog ya know......
